Will anyone in this world desire to be sad? Of course not! Everyone intends to lead a joyous life. Now we get another suspicion in our mind. So everyone out there is living a pleased and successful life? A big NO.
Reason - For a few, it may be their family circumstances, or due to marital conflicts, for some, it's due to their impatience, or unhealthy habits and the list goes on...
And now, how is this related to a child?!
I always used to relate children to mirrors. Whatever you do in front of them, they will do the same to you. So, to raise up a happy child, we (Parents) have to be optimistic first. How can a person stay joyful 24/7/365 days? No, it doesn't mean that. Consider yourself like a bouncing ball. Wherever life thrashes you at, bounce back to the best side of your life!
Aahhh! Appears ultra simple (But very tactical, in practical) 😊 Now let's see what can we do with our child, to ensure physical as well as emotional well being.
Be an example - Be Polite, Be humble, Be patient.
Shower Unconditional Love - Lots of hugs and kisses 😍😘. If every child is loved in such a way, the world will become a much lovely place.
Appreciate every effort of a child. It will motivate them for greater achievements 👏🏻.
Let them get dirty and let them mess up 🤪. Eventually, they will learn the right way to do things. - Yes! We have to clean it up for few times initially 😉.
Never force - For example, If we need their help to clean up the mess, we could not force them to get that job done. Instead try saying, shall we play a new game once done with the cleaning. Ask them, can you please help? Again, we could not expect a positive result on our first attempt itself 🤷♀️.
Never compare - Having a healthy competition is much different from comparison. Just think, how you would feel if your family or job compares you with someone 🙅🏼♀️.
Spend quality time 🥳 - For working parents, who would have gone through a tough day at work. Kindly try to spend at least 20-30 mins a day with them. Do role-play games, Peek-a-boo or just go out for a walk. It helps us to understand the needs of our children.
Create a love for nature 🥰 - Nature will gift us a healthy life if we protect them in the right way. As elders, We have to understand this first.
Focus on a proper diet 🍽 - Much important. Spend some time to establish a diet plan and put down charts. Ensure that the child gets enough protein and micronutrients from their food every day. Healthy children - Happy children.
Encourage playing outdoors 🏜 - Children need more physical activity and of course, Vitamin D. Let them get some sunshine.
Respect their emotions 😎 - We don't have to do much on this. If we can stay calm and give them some time, they will automatically get settled. Be there and let them feel you are there for them always.
Establish a proper routine 👍🏻 - Try to have a schedule on Waking up early, Exercise time, Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner time, Learning time, Snack time, Playtime, Family time, Sleeping on time, etc.
Develop Empathy 🧐 - Help them develop respect for every creature on earth.
Encourage a “Never give up” attitude 💪 - not to give up on anything in the middle of it. Example: Running until the finish line in a race, even if you are the last one to finish.
Set limit on every day's screen time 📵💻 - Being in a technologically advanced world, we cannot completely restrict kids from using gadgets. But we have to set some boundaries, like limiting the time to a maximum of 1 hour a day. Setting limitations on the content as per age, etc
